In the fall of 2000, the Town renegotiated its residential refuse contract, resulting in a five-year agreement with Natural Environmental, Inc. (NEI). The Town has been able to obtain additional savings in the new refuse contract. The increased volumes of recyclables and decreased a mount of land filled materials has had a direct impact on savings. This is a direct reflection of the commitment of our citizens to be increasingly environmentally aware and responsible. In October 2007 Modern Disposal purchased NEI.
