Address Numbers
The Town of Orchard Park has an ordinance requiring every building - residential or commercial -
to display its "HOUSE NUMBER" conspicuously on the front of the structure. This is a great help
to police, fire and rescue, and utility vehicles in case of an emergency. It also helps our inspector
when called out for an inspection.
Private Pools
-
Both the State code and Town Ordinances require in-ground pools to be enclosed by a fence at
least four feet in height with self-closing/self-latching gates. Any part of an above-ground
pool whose top rail is less than 48 inches above the ground also must be fenced off. The
foregoing requirement does not apply to pools less than 24 inches deep. For additional specifications
on pool enclosures, you may contact the Building Inspector's office.

New for 2007 - Alarms required for pools.
