Assessment Review Process:

  1. INFORMAL ASSESSMENT REVIEW – You are asked to supply any recent appraisals of your property and any other documents supporting your claim.  A form can be sent to you upon request. All paperwork must be submitted to our office via mail or in person, no electronic submissions will be accepted.  The Assessor will then meet or have a phone conference with you to discuss the assessment and submitted material in an informal atmosphere until May 13th. Grievance Day – May 24, 2022

THE BOARD OF ASSESSMENT REVIEW WILL BE HEARING COMPLAINTS REGARDING ASSESSMENTS ON TUESDAY, MAY 24, 2022 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 2:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. AND 7:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. AT THE TOWN HALL BASEMENT MEETING ROOM.  PRIOR APPOINTMENTS ARE NECESSARY  FOR ALL HEARING REQUESTS AND CAN BE SCHEDULED BY CONTACTING THE ASSESSOR’S OFFICE AND SUBMITTING THE NECESSARY PAPERWORK BY MAY 19, 2022.  NON-HEARING GRIEVANCES MUST BE SUBMITTED BY May 24, 2022.

Please note that the Town of Orchard Park has not authorized the e-filing of complaints by local law, ordinance or resolution. Therefore NO complaints can be accepted in this format.

 

Inventory Information:

We review the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and compare the information with our records. When there is a significant change from our records a notice may be sent to the property owner for an inspection. If no response, my office will estimate the value and change the assessments.
